Local Detroit Artist tonyp of tonyp images., Will Be The Focal Point Of An Art Exhibit And Fashion Show On Friday, September 10, 2010. The event is called ‘VISCERAL’ and will be a collective showcase of the artist’s socially conscious work.
A private, media screening will be at 7 p.m. with a 9 p.m. fashion show openi...ng doors to the public. The event is being held on the 6th Floor Loft of the Flat 151 in downtown Detroit.
The Visceral Show will exhibit all seven collections of tonyp’s artwork bringing attention to global issues such as the struggle of the Condoles women in Africa. The art will be displayed gallery style and on the runway as a clothing line. Media viewing will be at 7 p.m. with doors opening to the public promptly at 9p.m. The fashion show and after-glow party, which includes a cash bar, will run until 2 a.m.
“A marriage of art and fashion,” is how Detroit-born tonyp describes his show. VISCERAL is the collaborative effort of the artist, local models, hairstylists, make-up artists and videographers. “VISCERAL’s inspiration was spawned from a dark and romantic place. “Similar to my artwork, the colors are vibrant and full of life, yet contradict with a non-resonant edge.”

Tonyp Images has had sustainability since 1999, by creating digital artwork, high-end T-shirts and apparel with social relevance. His work has been published in two books, “Artistic Expressions” in the United Kingdom and “Ominous Beauty” in the United States. He has won several competitions and has consistent sales in his exhibitions.
